Theatre Book Prize judges announced

The Society of Theatre Research Book Prize is presented annually for a book on British or British-related theatre which an independent panel of judges considers to be the best published during the previous year.  

This year’s judges are Dr John Godber OBE, producer Thomas Hopkins and critic Maryam Philpott, it was announced by New Theatre Prize joint administrators Gary Naylor and Kevin Wilson.

Broadcaster and comedian Graham Norton announced newest Ambassador of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Graham made his start at the Fringe in 1991.

The role will see Graham join previously announced Ambassadors Suzy Eddie Izzard and Brian Cox and honorary President of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Our expert assessors will choose the best shows, performers and directors, but the People’s Vote award is up to you.

The four awards are for the venues that are most highly recommended for Food and Drink, Most Welcoming, Facilities and Accessibility.

If you’ve recently visited a theatre that you feel is outstanding in any of these categories, vote for them.

  • Must be a professional production with paid performers and creatives
  • Profit-share could be eligible if the performers are known to be professionals
  • Must not be eligible for an Olivier award
  • We don’t have the capacity to list Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows
