FTA Awards 2026/27 – Season 2
All accredited assessors will be invited to participate in the voting process to determine the finalists for the FTA Awards Season 2.
Please note that the scoring sheet will be shared confidentially and will contain all eligible nominations across every award category. The scoring sheet will not be filtered according to individual assessors’ nomination categories. It is therefore essential that assessors read the guidance below carefully and only score categories and nominations for which they are eligible.
Assessors must refrain from scoring any nomination where they have not seen the production, or where a conflict of interest exists, as outlined in the FTA Conflict of Interest guidance below.
If you have any questions regarding the voting process or your eligibility to score a particular nomination, please contact the FTA Awards Team before submitting your scores.
Finalists will be announced in accordance with the published Key Dates Schedule. Winners will be revealed live online and at the FTA Awards Ceremony on Sunday 9 May 2027.
Voting Instructions
1. Score only productions you have seen
Please do not score any production, performance, or nominee that you have not personally seen.
2. Use a score of 1–5
Score each nominee using the following scale:
- 5 = Your favourite
- 4 = Second favourite
- 3 = Third favourite
- 2 = Fourth favourite
- 1 = Fifth favourite
3. Use each score only once per category
Within each category, you may only award each score once.
For example:
- One nominee may receive a 5.
- One nominee may receive a 4.
- One nominee may receive a 3.
- One nominee may receive a 2.
- One nominee may receive a 1.
Please do not give the same score to more than one nominee within a category.
4. Categories with more than five nominees
If a category contains more than five nominees, please score only your top five. Award scores of 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to your five preferred nominees and leave all other nominees unscored.
5. Submit your scores on time
Completed score sheets must be returned by 12:00 noon on Friday 9 April 2027.
6. Conflict of interest
Any assessor with a financial interest in, or formal association with, a production is not eligible to nominate or score that production in any category.
Members of the FTA Executive Team may not nominate or score productions in which another member of the Executive Team has an involvement, whether paid or voluntary.
If you are unsure whether a situation constitutes a conflict of interest, please contact the FTA for guidance before submitting nominations or scores.
Assessors’ review meeting
Once all score sheets have been received and processed, a Zoom meeting will be held for accredited assessors.
Attendance at the assessors’ review meeting
All accredited assessors will be invited to attend the review meeting, but attendance is entirely optional.
Assessors who are unable to attend will not be disadvantaged in any way. All submitted score sheets will carry equal weight, regardless of whether the assessor attends the meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Review the results in all categories
- Discuss any categories where nominations are tied.
- Discuss any areas where clarification may be needed before the finalists are confirmed.
- Gather assessor feedback where there is ambiguity in the scoring outcomes.
Please note that these discussions may relate to nominees placed first, second, third, or lower in the rankings and are not necessarily focused on the eventual winners.
The meeting is intended solely to assist in confirming the final shortlist of finalists. The winning nominee in any category will not be disclosed during the meeting.
Summary – Before submitting your scores:
